Sara Kiener (she/her)

I was an entertainment executive of 15 years when the birth of my daughter coincided with my wife’s career taking off and a global pandemic. I walked away from my career to manage seven cross-state moves with a newborn during a global health crisis. My daughter slept in a pack-n-play until she was 15 months old and had four pediatricians before she turned two. My maternity leave became an unplanned eternity leave.

A critical piece of rebuilding myself was gradually revisiting what had unfolded — learning how to integrate those experiences into a coherent story that allowed me to tend to what was actually happening in the here and now. That work didn't happen alone. It took community, clinical support, and people willing to sit with me in the hard parts without rushing me toward the other side.

Through all of it I found the principle that guides this work:

Weathering well does not mean weathering alone. I’m here to support you through whatever you’re going through.
